TDCJ Will End Final Feasts Before Executions
This article targets taxpayers and in specific conservatives because of the way the article is presented to be a waste of funds to carry on a tradition that is abused by prisoners. The authors credibility can be measured by that of the newspaper itself. The author her self, Brandi Grissom, herself is very experienced and educated. The article argues that the long standing tradition of a final meal for death row inmates is not an effective use of funds. The article talks about a death row inmate that ordered a massive amount of food to eat as his last meal. After receiving the food, He barely ate any of his feast that he ordered. All of the food left over was wasted not that it wasn't already wasted on someone that is going to die. The death penalty is meant to be a sentence for those that don't deserve to live because what they have done is so extremely horrible and depraved. When someone that has done something so bad that they get a meal of they're choosing to have and enjoy in they're final hours. For some it is shown that this last meal is the largest proponent of redemption these few can have but for most of the inmates on death row enjoy the meal to its fullest. The death penalty plus the last meal were brought about as a tradition for religious reasons has become a mockery of its latter self. The last meal should not be continued and the prisoners as stated in the article should be served the same food all the other prisoners eat.

This article about the inefficiency and poor--if not downright horrible--management of our hard earned money going to programs designed to stimulate the economy by creating jobs and shoring up houses to reduce energy usage. This blog post goes on to say how our money has been misused and misappropriated to a point that each organization has either achieved minuscule results or has been shutdown due to repeated mismanagement of funds and/or accused of fraud. This inefficiency is mind boggling. The fact that they are about to have their unspent funds reallocated, coupled with the fact that the contractors are doing sub-par work and must return after inspection to correct said work, is costing the state millions. On top of all of these crazy and backward activities, the president wants to request another loan from the general populous in the amount of three-hundred billion dollars, which would add tremendously over time to our current defecit. This matter is of the utmost importance and needs more attention if we are ever to get our society and economy back on its feet.
